another pic title from sigur ros, you should listen to it when you can~ --> [link]

i think my hands were twitching while uploading this because i can't believe i'm finally at the point where i can call it "finished"...

original colors will always look better but im tired of adjusting it to match it, i just hate jpg and png quality =____=

anyway there's lots of angsty hetalia fanart of this war so i wanted to go for a different feel!
i was loosely inspired by howard pyle and i wish i had a fraction of his talent sob

view process here! [link]

This is one of the most breathtaking American revolution pictures I've yet seen. The fact that you used my dear Hetalia Alfred F. Jones is just...epic!

So beautiful!
I really love your coloring style, and I especially love how there looks to be a lot of people there, like a thick crowd, but you didn't have draw it all in detail in order for us to see it. Your art is incredible =)
Also, I love how Alfred is holding the flag up from the bottom, crouched down like that--it's a perfect spot for him to be, holding up his young flag. It's got a great triumphant feel!

One of your best works I believe, this is gorgeous and so full of detail and emotions! I love how most of your pictures are based on actual events or at least inspired by some element of actuality...at least to me it appears that way. I really like this one, the colors and emotions of struggle/victory are very evident and you displayed the concept beautifully!

In light of our current events I had to make this my desktop background. I enjoy the sketched out feel to this along with the soft color scheme. I just have to thank you for taking time out of your life for this creation. It's a cheerful reminder of our past and what we can accomplish.

I like that you drew a different take on the war than the angsty one. It really gives a feeling of hope and looking to the future. I particularly like the person in the center of the picture raising his fist. The colors are much more mature than one usually sees in fanart. This must have taken a really long time. Thanks for sharing it with us.

The energy and expressions in this are amazing! And I love that you added in France! Honestly, I love the whole concept of it. It's great to see America celebrating, rather than mourning like he's so often depicted. I'm not against UK/US/UK, but I don't like when America is shown yearning to belong to England again, after he fought so hard to break free. So this? Awesome.

i don't really know where people got he idea that the 2nd figure is france (except maybe the hair) but i find it kinda funny XD;;; cuz i know the french had different uniforms lol.
thank you though!
though its still interesting to see the Loyalist side of America~

*laughs* Actually, I thought it was based on the other comments left here! I scrolled back up to look and the picture, and yeah, the guy holding the flag DOES look like France.

The French uniforms appear to have been very similar, from the images I've seen. (I've been hunting for a good image, as I was thinking of cosplaying Revolutionary War France.)
