a doodle break from hw which…became not-so-a-doodle anymore oTL

ive had this short story in my head for several months now, in which i originally wanted to make a series of sequential illustrations but there’s no way thats gonna happen with my time now haha. its basically an 18th century AU with Alfred and his sister (fem!america) “Amelia” as American colonists. They meet Arthur, who’s family occasionally visits the New World from England, and eventually he meets Alfred’s family and they become good friends. (they’re in their preteens). Though the revolutionary war slowly approaches several years later, which pretty much slowly tears them apart. Alfred’s family are Loyalists but his sister Amelia is actually secretly a Revolutionist, so Alfred is torn which side to pick, espescially concerning he’s gotten really close to Arthur over the years….
